Official MCP server for vatnode. Validate EU VAT numbers against the European Commission's VIES register and look up VAT rates, number formats and country coverage for 45 European countries. Four of the five tools run entirely offline from bundled data and need no account — rates and format checks never make a network call. Only `validate_vat_number` calls the vatnode API and needs a free API key; it returns validity, the registered company name and address, and the VIES consultation number for audit trails. Live validation covers the EU-27 plus Northern Ireland (XI); GB, NO and CH are out of scope. Rate data refreshes daily from the EU Commission TEDB. Runs locally over stdio — your API key stays in your own client config and is only ever sent to api.vatnode.dev. MIT licensed. Docs: https://vatnode.dev/mcp
