MascotLab gives an app one character and keeps it that way. Describe a mascot once and it is locked. Every pose, prop and animation you generate afterwards is rendered against that locked reference rather than from the description again, so the character on your empty state and the character on your error page are recognisably the same one. That is the difference from a general image tool, which redraws a new character every call. Ask in plain language and the agent picks the tools. It gets back a download URL and writes the PNGs and MP4s straight into your repository, so the artwork arrives without leaving your editor. Generations are asynchronous: every create tool returns a generation id immediately and check_generation polls it to completion. Images take roughly 10 to 40 seconds, animations one to three minutes. Tools: get_account, list_projects, select_project, create_project, get_board, create_mascot, create_prop, create_pose, create_animation, check_generation, download_artifact. Hosted remote server, so there is nothing to install and no API key to paste: the first request answers with a sign-in challenge and you approve it in a browser. Artwork you generate is yours, including commercially. Docs: https://mascotlab.io/mascot-generator-for-claude-code
